Curves are now an integral part of the general cargo and baggage handling systems, even though this is often dealing with systemically important components that must meet an extremely high degree of reliability.
Especially in the area of clean shots and picking areas the failure of a belt curve can significantly affect or even lead to a total failure of the system's performance.
Two criteria are decisive for the performance of a curve:
a) the reliability of the belt guide and
b) the durability of the belt.
Therefore, special attention was given to these two criteria in the development of the new belt curve.
The frequent inaccuracies which arise in the belt assembly in rigid strap guide principles result in additional burdens of strape guide bead and thus to direct wear.
In other words, the belt has not the ability to breathe.
For this reason, strape guide principles based on springs were developed which allow the belt to work in the guide without jumping out.
The quick release device is another feature which allows the belt to get quickly rid of his guide.
Form-closed introduced driving forces cause at a start / stop operation and storage extreme loads in a very small area of the belt and thus to a reduced service life.
Gebhardt took account of this by initiate the driving forces over the entire belt width.
The requirements for low noise emissions get in this day and age more and more important.
The design and the new guide principle enabled us to develop a curve with 64 dB (A) which belongs to one of the quietest of the market.
