GEBHARDT is constantly striving to configure processes more efficiently and sustainably. We focus here not only on customer solutions; we have also undertaken to manage ourselves sustainably in-house.

Sustainable customer solutions - GEBHARDT Green Intralogistics

Solutions and products from GEBHARDT are constantly optimised against a backdrop of sustainability, in order to align the with the growing requirements of our customers. In doing so we follow a holistic approach from production right through to operation on the customer site. This encompasses mechanical as well as control optimisation, with the aims of keeping the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) as low as possible and conserving energy.

Internal sustainability

We are also aware of sustainability when it comes to our own processes and buildings, as shown by the following two examples:

  • GEBHARDT solar plant
In May 2010 the first building phase of the GEBHARDT photovoltaic system was completed and connected to the mains grid. The developed roof space on Hall 1 and 8 delivers an output of approx. 260 kWp. This equates to an annual yield of approx. 254,000 kWh and an annual CO2 reduction of approx. 152,880 kg. It is not only one of the largest plants in the area but also a true visual attraction with its specially constructed substructure.

A four-person family consumes approx. 4,000 kWh, which means that the first GEBHARDT construction phase supplies approx. 60 households in Sinsheim with electricity from the power of the sun. The CO2 reduction roughly equates to the emissions from 86 Fiat Pandas or 50 Mercedes E class 220 CDI with a CO2 output of 119/154 g/km and an annual mileage of approx. 15,000/20,000 km. When complete, the plant should attain an output of approx. 880 KWp.
  • GEBHARDT green spaces and parkland
On our company site extensive green spaces and an expansive park area brim with greenery and offer our personnel a place of tranquillity.
